Happy Autumn! 20 Weeks Pregnant (Halfway Done!) and Making Room!

Happy Autumn!
The season is finally changing! As I get older, I tend to despise summer more lol which is weird. Maybe because I'm beginning to hate the heat or it could just be a Texas thing. Who knows. Of course the only downfall of the seasons changing for me is that I have really bad allergies when it does happen. No matter what season, I always get attacked with allergies for about 2-3 weeks. Haha yes, it sucks. But Autumn/Fall is my favorite season for many reasons. One is because it marks the start of the holiday season with Halloween, State Fair of Texas starts (the best EVA!), the beauty of orange and red leaves is just breathtaking, not to mention the perfect cool weather, football season, sweater weather, and most importantly, My Birthday is in October! So happy fall ya'll! ;)

Today is a big and happy step in my pregnancy...I'M HALFWAY DONE!!!!!
20 Weeks Today!
Baby is the size of a banana. His flutters are definitely kicks now. And it just got a little harder to hide my bump in work clothes that I've tried on lol.
As you can probably tell, I'm too excited to go back to work. I've bought all sorts of office supplies, I've been studying hardcore on the airport city codes, and of course trying to find some maternity office wear (which is very very very hard to find). Once again, I feel blessed beyond measure because I have found a new job. And not only that, it's a job that I know I will love.
I have decided not to move out of the area that I currently live in. I just find it to be more affordable and with 2 kids, that for sure needs to be an important word in my vocab that I need to put to good use. When I start my new job, I cannot wait to buy things for the home. That sounds so funny but it's true lol. Making room for me and my babies should be alot of fun. :)

I didn't make a post last week because of my busy schedule but last Saturday was my best friend, Gurley's birthday! I want to give a big (belated) birthday blog shout to her! Fun fact: We're both pregnant at the same time. How kool is that? lol. Happy Birthday Best Friend. I love you. :)

I might not be on social media too much this week as I try to adjust to my new working schedule. But I will of course tell you all about my first week :D

It's A Boy!!!

It's A Boy!!!!!!!!

Finding Out: The Suspense Was Real!Since we could not find out what baby was at my last doctors appointment, and the nurses told me that it would have to be at my next appointment which is A MONTH AWAY (October 28th to be exact ;D), I said... Oh noooooooo! I just didn't get excited for nothing and definitely not to wait another month to see the gender of my baby! So Leland, baby boy's daddy, was kind enough to agree to going to an independent sonogram place to see the gender of our baby.
We went to Stork Vision in Garland which also offers 3D sonos and heartbeat CD's and etc. Of course it all costs extra but I just wanted to see the gender of my baby. The entire time there I was so excited but nervous. My family doesn't necessarily have the best of luck when it comes to "a mix of genders" when someone gets pregnant. We all have girls. Haha. So all I could think of was, "What if it's a girl even though I feel like it's a boy? It might just be a different pregnancy." But little did I know, our family luck with having only girls has officially been broken.
Before the Stork Vision visit.
When the sonographer tried to show me my baby's private parts, he told me that the baby's legs were a little crossed. I instantly thought, "Omg. Only girls cross their legs. It's a girl. I knew it." But the he kept searching. Then finally, he said to me, "It looks like a boy.....yeap. It's a boy. There is his peepee." I said, "What?!?! It's a boy?!" And there it was. My baby boy's little peepee on the screen lol. At first to be honest I really didn't see it. I don't know what I was expecting to see lol. But the sonographer pointed it out to me and showed me where his testies were and his little peepee right on top. My mommy senses were right!

My Gender Reveal
Knowing me, I can't hold something so exciting in for so long. Clearly it was very hard for me to hide my pregnancy for an entire summer. If I wasn't so excited (and still waiting for my new job to start), I would have planned a big big gender reveal party. But it was clearly best that I just have a small thing with just immediate family and closest friends.
I looked all on Pinterest and searched Google for unique gender reveal ideas. I really didn't want to do the usual that everyone does. You know with the balloons in a box and pinata with pink or blue candy. Come on now. I'm so much more fun that that. I wanted to do something fun and interactive so I came across the brilliant idea of a "paint party".
I got blue paint bottles from Walmart the night before and black duct tape. I covered all the bottles with the black duct tape so nobody would be able to see the color before squirting out the paint. I went to my favorite place on earth, Party City, and was disappointed to find out that all of their gender reveal stuff is online only. So I just ended up getting some blue chocolate "It's A Boy" cigars for favors.
People who I invited met me at the park across the street from my house, which has big fields and was perfect for throwing paint. By the time everyone made it there, I handed out the paint bottles and we headed out to the field. Leland was in charge of taking video and pictures of course. But since Snapchat is so big now, everyone had their cameras rolling lol. I explained the rules and what to do, I counted to 3,2,1 and the paint went flying all over me and all I heard were screams of joy coming from them all.
Everyone was so excited that I am having a boy. Even my great grandmother, grandmother and great aunt who were all watching from FaceTime from my sister's phone screamed with joy. "We needed a boy" is what my granny said. We really did.
I am beyond excited and I know that this will be so different from taking care of and raising Gabriella but I'm so ready for it. Me and my aunt are already starting to pre-plan the baby shower and shopping for boy clothes lol. Not gonna lie, I'm gonna really miss the tutus and cute clothes from having a girl but Gabby still has a couple more years until she gets too old for them so I'm taking advantage while I can!
Yay!

You know my biggest fear right now is, what if I go to my doctors office in a month and it turns out to be a girl. I swear I don't know what I would think or do!!!

You can see more pictures and videos of the gender reveal here!

A girl and a boy.... Some say that I am done and I just might have to agree lol. This is about to be such a fun journey. You all have no idea how excited and happy I am right now. :D

18 Weeks Pregnant and Searching for a New Place!

I am almost halfway there! I am 18 weeks pregnant! My baby is now the size of a sweet potato and no.......I still don't know what the gender is yet! :(
But have no fear. TOMORROW, I am going to Stork Vision in Garland, a 3D Sonogram place just to see the gender. I'm more than excited. :D
I really can't believe that I am almost halfway done with pregnancy. I can tell little man/girl is growing in there because not only am I having serious back pains and headaches, but I am having the strangest and dirtiest dreams ever. My boobs have also grown...like 2 sizes. I went from 32C to 32DD (34D if I really want to be comfortable). Not to mention they're hard as rocks and feel more like melons than boobies. If this is what fake boobs feel like, I am so glad I changed my mind about possibly getting them.  I am also starting not to fit into my pants any more. Time for Maternity Clothes! February will be here before I know it.

18 Weeks! (Excuse my fat arm)
I was just recently blessed with a new job that I am soooooo super excited to start (It's on my Facebook). I'll be getting a great pay with benefits which is always awesome and with that said, it is now time to start looking for a new place to stay! Obviously I need a bigger space for 2 babies. Not to mention all of the toys that will be taking over. I'm looking for places near my new job in Irving and luckily, Gabriella's daycare has locations around the same area as well which is great because all I have to do is transfer her over to the new location. I'm still unsure if I want to stay in my current area or go ahead and move to Irving but we'll see how it goes. Wish me luck on my search!

Still super excited to find out the gender tomorrow! :D
P.S Amber got moved up to Varsity! I'm so proud of my little sis!

My Little Sister is a High Schooler, Happy Birthday Granny, and I'm 17 Weeks Preggo!

I used to hear all the time about how the older we get, the faster time just flies by. It seems like just yesterday I gave birth to Gabriella. That was almost 3 years ago! It seems like yesterday I was 14 years old entering high school as a wide eyed Freshman. That was 5 years ago! And over 14 years ago, I became a big sister. Jeeeeeeez I feel so old. Lol. Last week, I just experienced my little sister Amber becoming a high schooler. I tried not to imagine this day when I was younger haha. I just couldn't. But my little MooMoo is in high school. I'm so proud of her because I can see how much smarter she is than I was in high school. It used to take a village to tell me to do homework before I would actually do it. Lol. Not proud of it now of course. Amber is also the best volleyball player I know. She loves her sport and I just know it will eventually get her scholarships to her favorite colleges. How do I know? Well she's a Freshman who made the JV team (should have been the Varsity but it's still a great accomplishment). I guess next up is her first boyfriend, her sweet 16, her driver's license test, many many homecomings, and omg...Prom and her graduation. I just might cry...
Volleyball Star Amber!
Yes...She is wayyy taller than me.
Speaking of time flying by, God has blessed my granny with another year of life! 77 years to be exact. My granny has been a great blessing in my family's life and we really can't see a day without her. We're going to Shreveport this weekend for her birthday and Labor Day so it should be a fun weekend with all of our family. Happy Birthday Granny!
My granny with Kamryn right after her Gymnastics meet.
Today marks 17 weeks in my pregnancy!
Baby is now the size of an onion and I am starting to feel flutters! I didn't feel Gabby until I was about 18 or 19 weeks. But this time around, I can tell what is a gas bubble and what's a flutter kick. I can't wait until they get stronger....wait...let me not speak too soon because Gabby kicked my rib out... take your time on kicking mommy buddy! Lol.
17 weeks
Even though I got stretch marks with Gabriella around 35 weeks, I still have been getting an early start on prevention. Just incase this one is a boy and grows to be over 8 or 9 pounds by birth and gives me more (I've seen it happen!). From past experience, I know what works and what doesn't. Yay! Lol. With Gabriella, I tried Bio-Oil (which does nothing but makes your stomach oily) and cocoa butter (which works to an extent by using just the right amount of moisture but gives slower results)and pure African Shea Butter (Pretty much does the same thing as cocoa butter) and many more products I've tried that just don't work. But the 3 fastest working products that worked for me and I saw results with were, CeraVe Intensive Stretch Mark Cream (Walgreens), It Works! Stretch Mark Cream (order from your favorite It Works! distributor) and just because it smells good and even though it took longer to see results i'll go ahead and throw in Palmer's Cocoa Butter for Stretch Marks and Tummy Butter (any store). So, fingers crossed that I won't get anymore and the existing ones go away and don't get worse!

My next doctor's visit is next Wednesday and I am so excited! I don't know for sure yet but since I will be almost 18 weeks by then, I might be able to see the gender of my baby!!! I just seriously can't wait anymore. I am also even thinking of the gender reveal party already. ;) Shhh. I'm not telling how I'm gonna do it yet.

My week by week bump update is on my Picasa web album here!
Enjoy your Labor Day weekend everyone!!!
