SURPRISE! I'm Pregnant With Baby #2!

Trying to keep this a secret all summer was very hard. I'll just start right there lol. With Gabriella, I wasn't THIS sick and I wasn't in my first trimester during the summer. And if you know anything about pregnancy or have been pregnant before, you know the first trimester is the worst part of pregnancy. Morning sickness, mood swings, bloating, fatigue, sore boobs and an aching back, all rev up to 500% in dry Texas heat. If you follow me on social media, I'm sure you've noticed I barely did anything this summer, let alone take a selfie, because I really had zero energy and was sick to my stomach.    SOOOO now that you know why I've been so anti-social, back to the good news at hand... I'm Pregnant, AGAIN! Lol. I can definitely say that this pregnancy is already so different from when I was pregnant with Gabby. I guess you can say I was lucky with her.    Now I will be very honest with you guys... I'm still a single mother. Will this be harde...

Mother's Day 2015!

Hello and Happy Mother's Day Everyone! I hope you all had a great Mother's Day and gave thanks to the strong women that raised you. Well as for me, this was a pretty chill Mother's Day this year. Our's started the Saturday before actual Mother's Day. We, my sisters and I, wanted to take our mom out early because we just knew that Sunday's restaurants would be PACKED! So we took mommy out for some Sushi! I wanted to try something different instead of the traditional Pappadeaux, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and such. I was so happy because my mom was happy. And that's all that mattered. And I'm also proud of myself for turning my mom and little sister into sushi lovers! Instead of them getting the traditional and safe California Roll, I convinced them t try the tempura roll (and incase you want to know, Vegas Roll or anything similar to it is the best!!!). In all, it was a great night for my mom. Since you all know now, this was my first Mother...

Cinco De Mayo at Ojos Locos!

Just giving you all a little run down on our Cinco de Mayo dress up week at my lovely job. ;-*   As you may know, I DO NOT work Saturdays or Sundays. But due to the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight this past weekend, I had to work to fit the night girl's schedules.     So my day 1 dress up was on a Saturday. The phones were ringing off the hook with people still trying to reserve tables for that night's fight and not to mention, us chicas had to help get everything else set up and ready. So I only had time to take a quick little cute selfie. :)   Day 2 was on a Monday. I was still kinda drained from the weekend but managed to still look the part.   And Day 3 (the final day) on a Tuesday was my favorite (and everyone else's). And you see why? Lol! They all wanted some Hot Tamales ;P I always order my costumes for dress up days and I usually save it for the last day of dress up week. Best for last :) Everyon...

Doing It God's Way Doesn't Make Sense, But It Works.

Here I am again after a very very long break. And of course I missed sharing everything with you all. <3 Sorry it's been so long.  Well, let's pick up where I left off. Hmm. In October. I'm officially no longer with Gabby's father, Claude. Not going to get into details about what happened but he found happiness elsewhere besides with me and trying to make our family work. Don't worry. I'm finally over it now. Haha I came to the realization that I don't need that type of man in my life anyway and trying to somewhat "force" our family to work would only make things worse.  I'm not saying that getting over it was fast and easy because it was anything but. I always tell people that if we didn't have a child together, it would be so much easier to forget about him and let everything go. But since I have to look at him almost every single day because of our child, it was so much harder. For about 4-5 months I felt very lonely, hurt, sad and he...

TRY! - October 12th 2014

Hello there sexy people! ;) Hope you all are enjoying your local Fall weather. Haha! Its been stormy and getting pretty cool here in Dallas. (I need a new umbrella for all this rain!). Good thing I already went shopping for the weather ;) But this weather of course really just makes me want to cuddle up and stay at home and watch movies and eat comfort foods.  This weeks TRY: Be lazy! Seems simple right? It's alot harder than it sounds, especially if you're a parent.  But we all need to find the time to truly go with the flow. Work, run errands only if necessary, and go home! If something comes up, do it of course, but relax. We're so busy trying to find something to do in the summer right? Parties, cookouts, pool parties, beach, vacations, parties, parties and more parties. Fall is about family as well as home. Enjoy it. Its only here for another 2 months!  ~Kortney

Welcome Back!

Hello everyone! I missed you all. I had a nice and quick summer and I hope you all enjoyed yours as well. Below I will attach my Summer 2014 Picasa album (please be patient for all the uploads. The app is stupid and slow) for all of you to see what me and Gabby have been up to all summer. We've been to the zoo, to Shreveport for the 4th of July, celebrated my dad's 41st birthday, Went swimming way too much and so much more.  Now I am done with my blogging break and now its time to get busy! :D Summer 2014 Album Now as I'm sure we are all aware of now, it's only FOUR MORE MONTHS OF 2014! It sounds so scary when I typed that. I've definitely noticed that the older I get, the quicker time flies. And when you have a child it makes things go by even faster (my baby is almost 2 years old!). Over the summer I have picked up some new addictions. Haha. One of them is Pinterest. Oh how I LOVE Pinterest. I'm not really a DIY kind of person bu...

Father's Day 2014!

Happy Father's Day!  I hope everyone enjoyed spending the day with the fabulous men in their life. Baby daddies, daddies, grandpas, mommies, etc. Thank God for all of them. I'm pretty sure you are wondering from my last post what I got my dads in my life. My biological dad: I feel kind of bad but not too much. I didn't even send a txt message. =/ I'll catch him on the next holiday. The guy who raised me (My daddy): Me and Gabby got him a card of course (I love hallmark cards) and he got a dinner from his favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse. I love my dad! My baby daddy (Claude/ Gabby's Daddy): Gabriella got one of those handprint cards and had so much fun with that. He loved it! I didn't have enough to give him his gift right away but I told him I would give it to him before he leaves to New York next week. ;) I feel so much better right now, (I'm typing on the desktop computer again.) Feels like old times. *sigh* Which was not that long ago of ...
